How to make vegan chili on the grill: 5 easy steps
Posted March 18, 2018 09:07:11 How to roast and cook a vegan chili.
This one can be made using a vegan mushroom, veggie or a vegetable that can be shredded and mixed with other ingredients, but I prefer to use mushrooms that have been dried out.
You can use any kind of mushroom, but the best ones will be those that are dry-roasted in a dehydrator.
You’ll need a skillet, and then you’ll need to place it in the oven and cook it for a couple of hours, or overnight, until the mushroom is tender.
You may need to stir it in and cook for a bit longer if you are using an all-purpose chili.
After it’s cooked, add a little water and the onion.
Then add the ground chili, a little oil, garlic and salt.
This is the meat that is going to give you that authentic meaty flavor, and I don’t like adding too much salt to it.
You also want to stir in the mushrooms.
Now, you want to place the pan in the center of the oven, where it will sit for a good 15 minutes, and turn it over occasionally.
When the meat is done, you can toss it with a little chili powder, and if you like, you may add a few pieces of fresh cilantro to taste. Enjoy!
