Vegetarianism is a lifestyle choice, not a diet, says Dr Woznyak.
“It’s the lifestyle of choice, a way of life, a lifestyle that’s inextricably tied to our values and to our family and friends,” he explained.
“Vegetarians don’t need to go vegetarian or eat meat.
They can just do what they like, enjoy the fruits of the earth and the flowers, and live their life.”
Mr Cairns is vegetarian and the book is an inspiration for his family, who also eat meat and fish.
He says the book has changed his life.
Dr Woznic said the idea for the book came from a friend.
Mr Cairn says he and his family have been vegan for a long time, but his daughter’s vegetarianism changed his family.
She started out eating meat and he says he was the first one to make a decision to not eat meat again.

But while the book encourages vegetarians to try different vegetarian dishes and dishes to try and please everyone, it also urges people to consider the environmental impacts of the food they eat.
“We can do more to avoid deforestation, and the food that’s being produced on the planet, because of what we’re eating,” Dr Wojnic said.
